Anthropology Arts is an enrichment program that provides unique arts based cultural studies classes to youth across New York City. Our goal is to expose young people to the cultural traditions, voices and histories of people that are often left out of traditional classroom settings and social studies curriculum.
Workshops are available for after school programs, summer camps, school residencies and pop ups for grades K-12. Popular courses include: Emperors & Dragons, Greek Artifact Study, Tattoos & Shields, and Cultural Traditions of India & Pakistan.

Splat Lab!
Our most popular course, introduced in 2018 builds a sense of magic and Joy.
Splat Lab is was created for the sole purpose of having fun! Through STEAM inspired activities, kids problem solve, explore and feel a sense of belonging in the group

In Splat Lab, each session features a cool main project called the “Main Splat” such as making slime, cloud clay and rain jars. While some students work in the Main Splat area, others are rotating around the “Open Splat” stations of their choice. These are fun, youth directed areas that change every week. Some favorites are pipe cleaner puppets, secret messages, cup castles and rainbow area.We push into existing after school, school day and summer programs. Sessions can run 60 or 90 minutes depending on your needs. We are flexible and can start anytime whether it’s during the school day, after school or summer. Our classes are very popular with all age groups including Pre-K/K to 8th grade. We can modify all of our projects to work with the unique culture and age of each school community we partner with.

In the summer of 2020 we debuted our own camp. Splat Camp focused on all the things that are weird, gross and cool. Each week will had a different theme such as Hawaii or Mythical Creatures. Throughout the week kids created fun gooey projects based on the weekly theme such as volcano slime or dragon puppets. Camp was infused with SEL activities and rituals such as circles, check ins, debriefs and games. Students came from all over Brooklyn and had the time of their lives! We plan on launching more camps and school break program throughout 2020. Our camp is an example of our consulting services in action!
